I see you sitting polietly,
Across the sea of candlelight
Which drifts to your features
Grasping at every subtle curve,
- like nervous hands searching for some release
Delicate features
- born with the tenderness of a pedal of a rose
With and underlying heart of stone
Tearing my eyes from such undisputable beauty
would be impossible by any means.
With a smile she corrupts even my most
righteous of guards.
Taming even my crulest demons
Leaving nothing but a low murmur of voices,
As memories receed my awareness
The present approaching a true focus
- as never before
The fear of everything consumes me,
Nothing should ruin this
I lose all words as efforts to speak
Materialize into heartfelt gestures,
Daring glances,
and an exchange of truth.
Spirits haunt my throat,
and threaten revelation.
Silence falling as a cloud once more,
Losing myself in this moment of true purity
Watching you see me
As only I can see you now.
Lit up for the entire world to see,
Enlightened with the fires burning between us,
But i'm the only one around,
Your beauty consumes me once more,
As fast as I was able to see you - see her,
She's gone in the smoke
The flames licking my face,
Laughing at my attempts to squelch them
I awake in a flash of lightning and cold sweat,
I can't let her die,
But it appears I must live,
And she - must die.
She may be different when I see her again,
But I will know, I must know
If I have the chance again,
I won't let go,
But i'll engage her with all that is,
- deep within me.
